Growing the Next Generation of Cooperative Leaders

CLC,

Each summer, high school students from across the Carolinas come together for Cooperative Leadership Camp (CLC) to do more than just learn — they grow, connect, and discover the power of cooperation.

Throughout June and July, four camps provide students with hands-on activities, team challenges, and shared experiences that build leadership skills and lasting friendships. CLC goes beyond the traditional summer camp experience and helps students recognize the importance of leading with purpose and working together to strengthen their communities.

Campers gain confidence, form meaningful connections, and see firsthand how collaboration can create real change. Many describe the experience as transformational! This is proof that investing in young leaders today strengthens our communities tomorrow.

Opportunities like CLC would not be possible without support from sponsors and member cooperatives as well as the Jim Graham Scholarship. By helping remove financial barriers, more students can participate in this life changing experience and grow their leadership potential, regardless of background.

CLC isn’t just a summer experience — it’s where future leaders begin.

It is cultivated.
It is supported.
And it starts with opportunities like these.

Campers hear from cooperative leaders who mentor them throughout camp.
Campers show off awards that were earned throughout camp.
Linemen from Wake Electric Membership Corporation show campers their protective equipment they use every day.

Campers learning financial literacy from Coastal Credit Union employees.
