Get To Know Zoey Hairr: CCC's Social Media and Communications Intern
Hi everyone!

Zoey Hairr
Cooperative Council of the Carolinas
Social Media and Communications Intern
My name is Zoey Hairr, and I am the Social Media and Communications Intern here at the Cooperative Council of the Carolinas. I am currently a senior at North Carolina State University majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations, and I will graduate this May with my bachelors degree.
I began my internship with CCC at the start of my senior spring semester in January, and I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities the Council has given me and for the people I’ve met through this experience so far. In my role, I help manage CCC’s social media, write blog posts, assist with newsletters and contribute to other communications projects as needed. This internship has given me the chance to be creative and bring my ideas to life while helping share the story of cooperatives across the Carolinas.
Before this internship, I had never considered pursuing marketing, graphic design, or social media as a career path. However, this experience has allowed me to discover new interests and learn more about my strengths in communications and creative work. I especially enjoy being able to share my ideas and connect with everyone involved with CCC, whether that’s members of the Council, employees working with other co-ops, or followers keeping up with us on Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
What I enjoy most about this internship is being able to educate others about what a co-op is and the ways we support the communities around us. Before joining CCC, I didn’t really know what a co-op was, but since being here I have learned so much. Every week brings something new to discover, and I can’t wait to continue learning more and more throughout my time here. Seeing people engage with what I create and learning that they’re gaining a better understanding of co-ops is incredibly rewarding. I’m also learning a lot about communications, storytelling, and creative content along the way.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with friends and family, working out, going on walks with my dog, Millie, and going to the movies. I also enjoy cooking for others and trying new places to eat. I love going to church and reading my Bible as well. Traveling is another passion of mine, and one of my dream destinations is Bora Bora!
I can’t wait to continue growing, learning, and sharing the work of CCC with our members and communities throughout my internship. Go Pack!
